Arising out of a world full of never ending economic, political, and social non-sense... compounded by the stresses of work, family, health, safety, and a myriad of other potential complications come The BLUES!!!
"THE BROTHERS OF ABSOLUTION"
We're glad you've stopped by!!!
Who are we...??? We are a Chicago based classic blues band! You may have heard us on the 90.9FM WDCB "in the back of the Cadillac" on Hambone's Blues Party or seen us recently at the Naperville Rib Fest or heard us at a local bar like the House Pub, Miss Kitty's, Open Range, and Danny's. We LOVE to play real Chicago blues!
"Blameless Bob" Neis
"Blameless Bob" Neis. An amazing guitarist with a voice to match, Bob leads the band and weaves the tremendous talent of each of the band members together to formulate the soul of the blues.
"Bald Head Pete" Williams
Cleother "Bald Head Pete" Williams, a legendary drummer in the Chicago Blues scene... Pete has traveled all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe keeping the rhythym going for a list of "Who's Who in Blues" and has played on countless recordings for Delmark, Duke, Partridge, Chess, and other top blues recording labels. Pete is a consummate professional master percussionist as well as a delightfully entertaining drummer to watch. "Perhaps one of the last living classic blues drummers on the planet."
"Brother Jessie" Bouchee |
...a pillar in the Chicago Blues, Jazz and Gospel circuit. Over the past half-century Brother Jessie Bouchee has performed with The Checkmates, The Bouchee Family Gospel singers, and a host of other ensembles. A gospel B-3 player by passion and a protege of the late, great Otis Spann - Jessie rises above mediocrity on the keys and, as a soulful player and vocalist. Utilizing a Hammond Organ and a Leslie Speaker, Jessie adds tremendous dimension and feel to the music. |
| Librado Valdez |
![]() Librado Valdez is a legend in his own right. An accomplished blues bassist who had worked and toured the U.S. and Europe with an number of top blues acts including B.B. King, Jimmy Dawkins, and Honeyboy Edwards. Librado defines what it means to be a 'pocket player' on bass guitar. He and Bald Head Pete unite to create the tightest rhythm section in Chicago area. |
Tom Tomei |
![]() Tom Tomei plays the blues harp! We sought long and hard to find a harp player that had the talent, discipline and musicianship to fit in with T.B.O.A. Tom is that player. |
